Hieee. This blog is so dead. I decided i will update on it. Although i leave the band, i didn't leave this section. And i still love you guys much much much!

Especially my dearest cute junior. Haha.

Okay, i guess you can guess who i am.

I don't have much to say, just to say, i really want to see this section back up as a strong section again. Hui Ling! Must make it happen ah!!!

Dearest Juniors and Fellow bandmates,

It has been almost 8 months since i have ever stepped into the band room. I hope all of you are fine. As this is the new year of 2010, I shall continue to blog for OBBC's NY message. This maybe my last year writing this and i really hope that my juniors, would continue this OBBC tradition.

" 2009 had been an extraordinary year that i will never forget. As the band is facing a transition, Your senior, I, have to take up the responsiblities to manage all the band operations. From Band camps, Exchanges, Mr Wong, Exco and SYF'09. Moreover, i have left the band during pre-syf practises. I am sorry to cause so much hardship for all of you. Maybe i was being selfish in leaving you with an incomplete junior-life. However, no matter how much grudge i have beared towards the band and etc, i have never once given up on this section.

Inevitably, OBBC would change as the band was coerced to accept novel operations. Now that seniors have turned alumni and juniors(You) have turned senior, I hope you would not follow the similar footsteps i have took. As an alumni now and an ex-senior, flavoured with much experiences and emotions, i advise you, My beloved juniors, to always bear in mind of Never, to left go of Your Own Section(OBBC) or even the band.

OBBC approaches its 4th year and i have reiterated many times of how tough OBBC was created, how much tears have exchanged for a mere four letter word. I sincerely wish that you would treasure this section like how i had wish i could treasure. My time has gone and thinking about going back to OBBC is simply a fallacy. Leaving OBBC without regrets and knowing you have put in much effort to sustain or even to resurrect the section is what i wish and want all my juniors(you) to feel after your years in OBBC.

2010 would be another arduous journey for OBBC to move. The reasons are evident and conspicuous. I hope all of you would learn to appreciate, respect and treasure what you have now. Your alumni, I, could only pray for you, pray for a day of resurrection. I am confident that it is not difficult to see OBBC alive again. It simply needs a little effort from each four of you. Always believe in yourself, and never ever abandon your home(OBBC).

Hey OBBC-ians. I know that everyone has been awaiting for the update so decided to update. First, congratulations on the silver! Yes, although our standard dropped from Gold to Silver, but all of you have put in much effort. Don't feel disheartened and work hard for 2011. I guess i owe an apology to you guys as i didn't joined the SYF due to some of my own problems. SORRY GUYS!

Second, Section Outing! Okay, i heard that you guys have been awaiting for the section outing. So this will be a make-up for our birthday celebration. The outing will be during the june holidays so i guess it won't interfere into any lessons and band practice. Everyone decide on a date for the outing okay? *PLUS* We will be continuing our tradition of writing the LOVE LETTERS! So please prepare them. We will be contacting the Alumni to check on their schedule. AWAIT FOR THE UPDATE FOR THE SECTION OUTING! Please also decide on where do you guys wanna do/go.

Third, I know we have a new member in our OBBC section. Just want to say a big welcome to the section! Hope you will be as crazy and as happy as we are in this section.

I always love this section.. memories..

Hey obbc, i haven't been updating this blog recently. But yes, i still miss each and everyone of you guys no matter how busy i am during band. Since junwei is now the SL, i really hope that you guys can Get well with him together as i never doubt him :) recently, there has been alot of things happening to the band, but i assure you this won't be long, just have to hang in there as a section. Such things are all predicted, thats why i really hope each and everyone of you guys can live up to the new motto. And of course, the old one, getting indulged by our section, be rhapsodized by our music of life :D

Sometimes, i asked myself if this section can be the past, like what it is as prefect as i imagine, but no. There are more things for me to help, i'm sorry. And seriously, all that are left now, are enough for us to come together, and i really appreciate each and everyone of you guys being with me, and this secion. Sometimes, i also asked myself, am i being selfish since i have 2 years of fruitful juniorship with the oldies, i'm making you, the juniors one a very tough one since this band have changed alot. Traditions now, all have different significants, and its changing every single second.. Such changes are really inevitable, thats why, eventhough this section is far from last time, i'm already rejuvenated about what i have, beside me, around me, and in me. I love you guys. :)

And yes, its better to have such nice memories, than not to have, not to experience.

-Around morning time we will go to picnic at Pasir Ris Park i have change the place as we might have trouble to go from East Coast Park.

-We will go to Wild Wild Wet or Escape Theme Park.

-After all the things, we will go for dinner.

Rainy Planning

-We will go to Wild Wild Wet first.

-We will go to Escape Theme Park if the rain stops.

-We will have dinner afer all.

The Rain plan might not go on as Shirlene says she have phobia.....

i dont have the pictures for the birthday, and i'm not really looking forward. cause, its no point when its just bodies without the souls.

Now as a BM. i cant really afford much time with you guys, shirlene came back to teach huiling, thanks. Now band has been very happening. Annie and Kendra, i really hope you guys could really grow up fast and take up those responsibilities. Dont ever make a come back of history. I'm really sad that i cant be with you guys so often.. i really feel loose out, i cant make days as a junior in OBBC nice for you guys like how was used to be. when the new conductor said OBBC this fourlettered word section, i felt very different. Cause as a senior now, i need to balance both the BAND and also you guys OBBC. My junior years was completed with real nice and fun memories, so i also hope you do. But i always believe that, you guys can be the ones that made you own junior years shine. That would be a great lesson to learn for us, its very fragile to see through people's feelings, disappointments is what i can say. i dont even think they care. But, life moves on. Even if we cant smile, we got to make out that smile out. We continue this tradition, is not because of anyone esle, is because of ourselves, cuz we still care.

I've think through the days, that day was a beautiful day, but all i have to do, is just to open my eyes to see. what i've done is just too much by wearing a pair of specs, greedy that i wanted to see clearer of that beautiful scene that turns out blurly, i'm sorry for breaking down, but i'm wrong just to put on that specs? That day was beatified by you guys, that made me wanna see it clearly, but it only can be beatified when you still have the feelings, but not the 'body' i'm sorry for expecting too much. i shall end here for good. Tearing cant solve problems, it just contains disappointments, sorrows and apatheticness that i wan them to come it all out. i'm sorry.

Thats the smile thats fill the brim. Its crazy, but its all beneath from our hearts.

Yes obbc, i really feel like saying things out. Why do we really

celebrate this day for OBBC. what do we celebrate? Its to

congratulate your 3 years of upbringing to the section and also

to thanks the alumni from the tears and sufferings that made up

this section up. We're greatful to them all. Thats the reason for me

why i think we really should celebrate tgt talking as a section

playing and highing together like last time. I'm happy that we

got almost full attendance as compared to last year, our

strength this year is heavier. But the enthusiasms and bonding

is not as heavy as the strength. We're all back together, but

if your heart issit with us, thats not the point to celebrate at all.

Its not about, without a knife, without candles, without a good

birthday song sang. Its about the feelings and thoughts toward

the word OBBC. OBBC is just four lettered word, but how do

we really face it is another issue. If OBBC birthday is celebrated

just for the sake for making us happy, i would rather drop it.

Yes, it should make us happy, but the happiness beneath
everything is that previous thing that we wanted for this

celebration, and the reason for it. Memories are left as memories.

But as long as the heart and feelings always stay together,

there's no reason for us to break down. It comes in the

matter of myself, yourself and ourselves. Band creates

the depth of my life while OBBC is the water that fills

it up. People can sense about the conclusion of this party.

Everyone knows about that. In pictures we can smile,

But in the beneath of our hearts, can you actually give a smile?

it really made me miss everything single thing more.

not only i teared for this issue, sensing that things are gettin

out of my way, its also, i really really miss and enjoy those

moments in life of OBBC you guys gave. Though i thought

today would fill up till the brim, instead it broke with the water

we filled from last year all spilling out, leaving with nothing.

Things really cant be taken for granted. But thats all enough.

really.. i'm really glad with such nice memories you guys gave me

when i'm still a baby in OBBC. For now, thats really enough for

me. I'm just shining too much hope which not concluding

the outcome, cause i always always believe that, anytime

OBBC would break down, but comfirm not today. It just

smashed my thoughts, completely.

But i seriously still thanks alumnis. For the wonderfull

memories you all gave me when i was sec 1 -2. i doubt thats

the thing that i can wipe off the tears from my face.

Last year i teared of happiness. This year?

Yes, i'm the boy that runs my emotionals like hell,

But that the RAFE that you all know, untill now. ITS STILL ME

the rafe that you seen me grow. If i were to change because

of that, to control my emotions, it would not be the RAFE that

you knew. And there's always a reason for me emotioning

with tears of whatever feelings, i cant control, yes, but thats another

thing, the reason WHY is also another thing. How do you face them?

hmmmm its been a long long since i last blog, but that doesnt mean that i have forget abt my beloved obbc section=)

Rafe: we didnt forget abt the laught and enjoy we used to share in the past! i know that now we are busy working and only come back during the practice day and also hardly could have lunch together as a section again but we heart is still there. i know action speak louder than words, but we at time do really share our care and love toward the section.

OBBC: all i can say is do work hard for the upcoming concent.

im glad to see that both rafe and junwei have improve alot be it in their reading skill and playing skill. Annie had oso show her improvement. and for kendra, althought u have join oboe section for just a few month, but continue to work hard, have some aim for urself is good, but do know where ur limit are.

Rem wat i used to say? ONCE AN OBBC-IANS, FOREVER AN OBBC-IANS. so even thought we are busy with our stuff but we still love obbc and that will never die=)

what have happen had happen and we cant clock back the clock, so let look forward to the bright future.

different batch or people have their ruling way and what the junior have to do is to adopt it and accept it. work together with ur senior and im sure that u all can built up the section into another level.

MISSING ALUMNI.

its like 9 more days to viva La.. and i'm sad. the thing i'm sad is that
we're not as noisy as last year.. no more anyan rreading aloud teens
magazin the sex and body category.. no more pauline highing with me.
no more act cute signs by anyan. no more dao faces by pauline.. no more
saddening moments by jessvir.. its so sad.. and when the alumni are
at school even yirong came back.. its even sad to see pauline going
clarinet section and play.. though the whole section seems to be here..
the heart is not there anymore.. i dont really blame anyone.. or feeling
upset.. all of you have busy schedule.. mrlim ask pau go clarinet now
u all alumni.. the way u all act and talk also so same.. seeing though
this pics.. makes me wanna cry.. but i know i cant get that feeling
back anymore.. everything just changed so sudden.
i thought everything would be the same after the section reunite esp
for vivala but i'm wrong. i only see, the main band obbc.. its really sad
to see this.. but i would like to remind you guys again with these pic..
facing the main band obbc and alumni is absolutely diff...

whatever how you all change now or nexttime, working schedule..
or whatever.. i will forever RMB THE MEMORIES you gave me..
even though i know i cant get back those feelings back. its still a
previlledge to appreciate these memories of mine you guys

My speech; alumni (past memories)

load the music and read my post yea.

some series of even just inspires me to write this post out.
and just to tell you, its not any bad series of event.. Seeing alumni
batches and batches gradurating from the band, the section saying

good-byes that are saddening. but i can say that. You made me up.
You guys did. without you guys, there wont be even this section.
and what i am today. seeing the section standard like this.. band's
standard disappoints everyone. and even my standard.

when i was sec1.. we didnt even know each other or met each other for a purpose.. a reason.. after joining band, we came together as a section.. as a band and doing things together, from totally unknown people, we became as close as we are now. Doing things as one as a section.. even sheding our tears together, be it in band, or outside band during our section outtings.. our joy and tears are all share equally. everything was just so perfect as expected. Everyone tend to change during secondary school years, Yes i did. But being together with you guys, the joy and laughter u guys made.. is what i am today, although everyone will change in their character, the memories and pictures snapped will always remain unchange in out hearts, in our album. i dont have to really articulate out or write them out my heart to let you guys know how i'm feeling, cuz you knows me the best then any other esle.

Everything, every single memory all holds a very special meaning in my heart. I'll always be the gullible thinking.. naive in the sense wishing time to stop at that particular time so that we could have more time spending out joy and laughter. But time does allow such naive act. it moves on. and we have to continue leding our own individual lifes. But those memories and pictures shows us the time that we have been spending together as one. Everything comes from a root, a source, a purpose.. we just have to find it and led it, thats why we are together.. fight that bold us even deeper, dont u think its worth it?

This is the chapter you guys created. i will be continuning the chapter, but not unfolding another one. or even overwrite your chapter. the chapter that you guys wrote will remain in my head. Memories that you guys wrote that are seriously touching.. be it syf, section birthday, festival of wind, camps and our first ever section outting. IS what you guys wrote in that chapter of yours, ours. I will continue this chapter your guys created and so for the juniours knowing what have happened to the past chapters. i wont bear to tear down effort and tears you guys wrote and made this section up just like that. or event tearing down myself and disappoint all of you guys. This is what you guys created. and yes. it wil remain unchange.

LET ME MAKE MYSELF CLEAR OVER HERE FIRST

im here to talk some sense into your brain and not to entertain u, im going to me very mean and naggy over here

FIRSTLY: ATTENDANCE

i have happened to pass by the ava rm and went in to check the attendance, ya im indeed quite happy that everyone do make they effort to come for practice, but tat only wed attendance, wat abt sat???? did everyone come for practice, i hope u did cause for the moment now i see no reason for u absenting yourself for band practice. BUT HOWEVER weekly national anthem, i hard see full section, hey i dun mind u being late for the day but at least make the effort to come for the anthem playing, so what if ur friend in the band didnt went for the anthem playing, you yourself must have the self- discipline.

i didnt want you to be the best, but at lest put in the little effort by coming for practice.

SECONDLY: SECTIONAL

i doubt that even till today, none for them have attended sectional everyweek. ya u might complaint that i got lesson, i got i.t. lesson, i got tuition whatever shit, but touch your heart and honesty ask yourself, did i make the effort of bring home my instrument and REALLY PRACTICE ON IT AND NOT JUST FOR SHOW???? DID I?

THIRDLY: TAKING CARE OF YOUR INSTRUMENT

IM GOING TO BE VERY MEAN OVER HERE CAUSE IM VERY ANGRY OVER THISE MATTER

rafe what do u mean by double reed instrument are always fragile and needed to send for repair??? hey i have a qns, why my instrument which i have used for 4 year+ didnt spoil, however when i pass it down to other person ALL the lower part of the key struck???? in my whole life of using oboe, i didnt see it struck before why it struck when i pass it down to someone, dun tell mi it just a coincident. IM NOT PIN POINT ON ANYONE OVER HERE, BUT.......CANT U ALL JUST TAKE CARE OF UR INSTRUMENT????

you know how i treated my oboe, i treated it as my one and onli husband, i take care of it, love it like how i love myself, even when i accidently knock it on something i will feel pain and say sorry to it, i hug it whenever i saw it, im not crazy but i did talk to it sometime, i treated it better then how i treated my family, and i call it my laopo instead of my oboe, and now you say it u wanted to send it to repair. to mi it like oh my god, i only send it to see 'doctor' before but i didnt think of one day i will send it to 'hospital'

u should be haapy tat i didnt scream at u rafe, and i didnt go look for u krendra.

pls take care of ur instrument can or not, doesnt mean tat it not ur thing u can do wat you wan to it. even pau love she bass clarinet more then she love mi, SO WHY CANT U????

i see no point of mi talking and to 'lecture' anyone. so wat if i talk to u nicely, and all u know is orh i know orh i know but nth go into ur tat self-minded(got this word?) brain, it just waste singapore water.

you should have the discipline by now. hey now everyone is at the age of 13 to 15, ya it a 'mind growing age', but let my tell u as this age, if u still cant setter ur mind, u are to be call kiddo. now is the time tat determine ur future. a good and positive life style, or a bad and -ve life style. it up to u to choose. ur senior and family will only be there to tell u wat is right and wat is wrong, U LEAD YOUR LIFE, NOT MI, NOT PAU, NOT RAFE, NEITHER IS YOUR FAMILY, unless u are a mummy boy or girl la. so pls wake up at this moment, be it study or the attitude toward the band and your friend. stop being childish and say i dun wan to friend you and tell all ur friend tat this person is bad or i friend friend u but u promise dun friend friend her ok, PLS U ARE IN SECONDARY SCHOOL, not primary school nor kindergarden. and pls u kids are too young for love, u will never noe love till u noe how to love urself. but paupau and i are too old to noe love, ya.

p.o.p is coming, another words, it will be pau, anyan and jes day of stepping down as a bnss symphonic band member. ok from the very first day, you kiddo have heard us nagging, talking abt wat is going to be like in the further be it in band or in the section., and ya u all have experiences it now, at this stage.
it is hard to form a group, but is ts easy to break up a group. from the very first few weeks of mi steppping down, dozen and dozen of complaints and unhappy stuffs are happening around in this section, its not only our section members have problems in handing our own member, even the band member have things to say abt our section.
GET A LIFE, have u guys thought of wat u guys want from this section, wat u guys are hoping to see in the further in obbc??
if u still want to have the mindset of I WANT TO BE WITH MY FRIEND, I GOT TUITION ON BAND DAY, I FORGET TO ASK FOR MY SCORE, I SCARE TO ASK PPL FOR SCORES, I CANNOT GET ALONG WITH MY SECTION MATES, ETC, you can go back to primary school where your friends is around, the teacher is there to help you to prepare things well.

when i say i want to have a section talk, one of u come and tell mi and say this,"i scare u very angry, then keep shooting the section." and my first reaction was HA, HA. oh gosh
mayb wat im thinking is not the way u think, but at time right, wrong conclusion just come out like this, and know wat, TAT HUMAN NATURE, HAHAH=)
you can think, you can act, u can say wat you want, but tat ur brain, not mine not hers neither is his. u can say something which u dun have the intension to hurt the other party, yet other feel hurt by ur words.
u dun have the chance or choice whereby saying tat I WANT TO PUT MY WAY FOR THINKING INTO HER/HE. wahahah sorry it cant work tat way.

it is the important word to use be it one ur friend or the section or even ur family. if u ppl dun understand he or she well, misunderstanding just step into the play of the relationship between u and him.
UNDERSTAND YOURSELF, UR SECTION, YOUR SECTION MATES, THE BAND, THE BAND MEMBERs, THE MUSIC YOU ARE PLAYING, and i tell u, thing can work very very smoothly. trust mi this really work man, and this is the conclusion tat i have get after the 5 years in band. it up to u to believe.
COMMUNICATIONS WORKES BEFORE UNDERSTANDING, if u dun have the communication between one another, how are u going to understand, lol.

well, i've read both posting, heard of people complaining this and that, i hate you, you"someone", i miss you, miss the section, miss the seniors, lalala...

i dont see a point why we must hate, miss, complain and yadah yadah yadah..

c'mon OBBCians, we still see each other in school, we can always talk, we can always laugh,

WE CAN EVEN HAVE A SIMPLE LUNCH TOGETHER.right?

ya, perhaps juniors find it werid without mummy and laoda's scolding, nagging and even pampering you all right but you all must know that things keep on moving when time passes. seniors will eventually graduate one day. including you yourself or who ever is reading this. you will eventually leave the band, leave the school and of course adapting to new environment. that's why you are here. if not are you telling me you wish to stuck at who or whatever you are now? definitely NO. As you grow up, you will find yourself experiencing new things.that includes leadership skills. if you are telling me you dont want to be a leader, nobody lose anything except yourself. a teacher or even seniors cannot teach you how to be a leader. they can only give you tips ad to guide you through obstacles. You will only be a successful if you are willing to learn if not no matter how much we nag, we say, we scold. everything will still be back to square one.

have you ever wonder how the world would be like when everyone fights to be a leader? everybody insist on doing what he or she wants?

being a leader does not means he or she has the authority to do what they want, abusing what they have.

please bear this in mind;

without a follower, there wont be a leader;

without a leader, neiter there will be any follower.

a leader is someone whom is given responsibility and to set good examples for others to follow. if you have the mindset of saying a leader is someone "powerful", strongest member and thus able to bully other. I strongly urged you to stop having this mentality.

there are always things left by the seniors and for juniors to pick up and carry on the culture. but definitely not all...

e.g: i dont encourage you to follow mummy throwing pen.!!! *it's dangerous*

ya.. ultimately what she's doing it for our benefits but i'm sure there're better ways.there are alot ways to keep this section alive. you all dont always need me nor anyan to be there to entertain you kiddos right. perhaps some of my stupid actions for example disturbing mummy for no reason, pissed her off, etc states a unforgetable memories in you and i but all this are already memories. times passes but we will always secure this memories in us be it in the seniors or juniors heart. agree?

Firstly, i want to say I MISS YOU GUYS!!!! i miss those time when we are driving nuts during sectional, i miss those time when i nag at u ppl, i miss those time when i scolded u ppl, omg time flies=(
NOW!!! after the MYE finish, you ppl will move ur butts(opps) back to the band, REM OBBC RULES!!!! RESPECT TO BE RESPECTED, KEEP THE SECTION BONDING GOING, NO FIGHTING etc. with it, we will then be proud to call ourselves an OBBC-IANS. im i right=)
have u guys wonder why pauline and i have came out with so many rules?
rules is to be follow, to be obey. with rules, it will allow a country, a school, a committee, a band and even a section to be steady and firm.
i know sometime its hard for you guy to follow every rules tat is been listed up, even me sometime, do cant obey the rules well, BUT, get this in ur mind, as a section, we are a family, there can be argument, there can be conflict, but there cannot be any distrust, any hates, ask u do u hate ur father? wahahaha wat a example=) WE ARE A FAMILY, A HAPPY FAMILY.

SO PLS KNOCK OFF THE MINDSET OF SAYING TAT ONLY IF I HAVE A POST IN THE BAND, IM THE STRONGEST AND I CAN BULLY(hahah) PPL. even my little brother who have nth to do with the band also can bully u. AT TIME, BEING THE STRONGEST, THE POWERFUL IS NOT THE BEST.

clining a GOLD is very very unexpected huh..
all the hard work that pays (:

but seriously.. remember the words of mr lim said
today.

" even if u ppl get diamond or watever ppl might say
we dun deserved a GOLD when we get
1 and some ppl all also say we dun deserve a C.O.P,
but being a gold or cop band u urself knows the best
its like, u just go and play there for 10mins? and say
the results. dun get nervous by this, just a central judging.
even when u guys got a COP, u guy are not a COP band
either a gold band, it mayb that u ppl can only do good
in the 2 peices, but can u do well for the others?
mayb the 2 pieces u got gold, if i throw u other pieces
are u guys able to make it? if u no that u haven't did
well, start working hard and dun give excuses for
urself anymore"

in parts that we are not sure of, like today we managed
to get the people to practice the clapping part which i feel
that is very important like wat mrlim said. its seriously
only 4COMBINE! wif mr lim, and we, the band hasn't
get everything right yet as we are not fast enough to take
in the details mr lim said.. please please open ur ears..
and WRITE down the important points wat mr lim said!
and to make urself not forgetting it, SECTIONALS!
AND SECTIONALS!!

please take the initiative to skip your remedials if can to
come for the sectionals, and mayb u can tell your teachers
that u'll repay them after SYF? please try to practice MORE!

please be reminded that it is BOUNCY and ends with a tail.
not just cut of like that.
#2. bsn clear tongueing at 6 parts b4 E..
#3. MAJOR DROP OF SOUND at arnd 5bars after D. [Forta-piano]
#4. lower winds.. pls get ur triples clear and concert Eb intune
at 1 bar b4 F.
#5. oboe hear the band's melody and get intune at G.
#6. super clear tongueing from the bsn at G 1st time bar's triples.
#7. super clear tongueing[ACCENTS!] from oboes after bsn
1st time bar triples.. the 2 pairs of triples, last bar of 1st time bar of G.
#8. bsn, Eb is always flat. pitch higher!
#9. bsn solo[2nd time bar of G], pls get in tune, intonation everything.
#10. OBOE solo[arnd H] get intune wif french horns, MELT into their sound!
#11. bass clarinets' triples after clarinets[arnd I].. pls dun rush! make more
spaces at the first note so that it would not sound clumsy and rushy.
#12. 9bars after I.. triples of lower winds.. its a small cresedo.. [pp-p]
and accents! and little notes of quaver are meant to be BOUNCY!
#13. BC and bsn.. at J.. pls rmb its tenuto. and put in more feelings
in every tongueing to make it [espr]
